Northamptonshire Education and Work Service (NEWS, for short) is the Education Business Partnership for Northamptonshire, and provides links between local schools and employers.

Recent changes within the national curriculum require schools and colleges to make lessons much more integrated and focused on real life work situations. Employers can play a crucial role in our young people’s education.

There are many different ways employers can work with schools and colleges. It's employers' time, expertise and passion for the industry they work in that schools really value. It is proven that learning related to the world of work can have the biggest impact on young people!

Working together, we can ensure that young people are fully engaged in their learning, helping to raise aspirations, achievement and broaden the horizons of the future workforce.
